Introduction to Yoga

45 minute session

 

This is for absolute beginners who have never done yoga before. You will learn to embrace the present moment through a series of breathing and movement exercises. This class consists of a combination of basic asanas (yoga postures) in order to to develop strength, balance and flexibility. You can have the session to yourself or share it with another person.

Hatha Yoga

Mixed Level

Sunday: 8:30 - 9:30am

 

This beginners class is for those who have been to a few yoga classes previously, but do not feel ready for an intermediate level class. Hatha yoga is a slower practice where you hold most asanas (yoga postures) for 2 to 5 breaths so that you have time to develop better alignment, stamina and flexibility.

 

Pregnancy Yoga

Sunday: 7:15 - 8:15 pm

 

This class is for pregnancy (from 12 weeks onwards). It will be a calm and peaceful class which will help strengthen the uterus and pelvic muscles, improve circulation, aid in digestion, exercise the spine and increase overall comfort. Yoga can also alleviate many of the discomforts of pregnancy such as nausea, constipation, varicose veins, swelling, back pain and sciatica. A safe, open community allows you to freely discuss any issues, from discomforts and concerns, to the wonderful new changes your body and baby are experiencing.

Pregnancy yoga classes will start on the 2nd of February 2020

 

Vinyasa Yoga

Friday: 07:00 - 08:00 am

Saturday:10:30-11:30 am

 

This class caters for beginners and those with yoga experience, but you should have some ability to follow movement patterns and fairly good balance, strength and fitness. Vinyasa yoga is a faster paced, aerobic class that consists of flowing sequences of asanas (yoga postures).

Private Mat Yoga

These yoga sessions are for those who want to come with their friends/family, or who would prefer to have an individual class. Sessions are developed to cater to your skills, needs and goals.

 

Restorative Yoga & Meditation

Sunday: 6:00 - 7:00 pm

 

Revitalize the mind and find calm before the new week. Restorative yoga aims to calm and restore the nervous system in a slow moving sequence, where gentle postures are held for some time. Meditation works to bring awareness to the present through mindfulness, breath and focus. A very gentle and calming class.
